add-ons

So, I just got my first add on for WoW, called auctioneer . I downloaded it from curse.com which is a safe site to download from. To be able to run the program on WoW:
Step 1: After you download the add on, you need to extract the file. (you could right click on the file then click EXTRACT ALL).

Step 2: A little bit of copy and paste fun, but first you need to find your WoW add on game directory (make sure to keep the downloaded file open for now). Usually it's in your Program Files. Click MY COMPUTER, then LOCAL DISK (C:), then PROGRAM FILES, then WORLD OF WARCRAFT, then INTERFACE, then ADD ONS.
If your WoW file was in program files, don't despair. You could do it from your SEARCH.

Step 3: Copy the extracted files then paste them onto the ADD ONS folder in you WoW file.

Step 4: To make sure the program is installed right, load the game and on your character screen there should be a button that says ADD ONS.

My Favorite

So, I've found the best website to listen to music and that's what I've been doing while I'm playing WoW. Go to Jango.com - you could pick your favorite songs, bands, etc. They also play "recommendations", but you could vote on those songs, and those songs that you vote that you don't like, jango will never play it on your "station". Jamming out to my favorite bands makes traveling in WoW so much easier. Oh, and did I mention, Jango is free! (hmm... do I sound like a commercial or what?)

Update on my hunter

So, Nickah is a lvl 41 now, has a mount (a blue chicken), and can wear mail armor now. Yay!

A Few Tips:

-The fastest way to level is to kill everything in your path. It's also a great way to make money. Just make sure to keep an eye on their level. If it's grey you won't get any XP for killing them.
- As soon as you get into a big city visit the Auction House to upgrade your gear.
- Decide on a profession as soon as possible.
- The mini-map is your friend.
- Visit your class trainer every even level.
- Invest in bigger bags. You only start out with your backpack which has 16 slots and those slots fill up quick.
- Oh yeah, something I didn't know. When you get to a chest and you're in a group, you must type in /roll to see who rolls the highest on the virtual dice. (I didn't know that and I walked up to a chest in a dungeon and just opened it up. - yikes)
